Cunnersdorf is a district of Hohnstein in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

geography

Cunnersdorf is east of the Saxon state capital Dresden in the north of Saxon Switzerland . It is located in the north of the country town of Hohnstein and thus in the northeast of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. The Waldhufendorf , whose appearance is characterized by numerous three-sided farms and eight ponds, is located in the valley of the Dorfbach, which flows into the Polenz at the Bockmühle .

The northern and western outskirts of the Cunnersdorf district, which are situated on steep slopes, are forested. Most of the around 903 hectares of land is used for agriculture. The Märzenbecherwiesen in the Polenztal , a nature reserve, are partly on Cunnersdorfer Flur .

Neighboring to the southwest is Hohnstein, to the southeast the district of Ehrenberg . The northeastern neighbor is Polenz , a district of Neustadt in Saxony . The two districts of Stolpen, Langenwolmsdorf in the north and Heeselicht in the west, border along the Polenz .

The most important street on Cunnersdorfer Flur is the Bockmühlenstraße, which follows the course of the village stream and opens up the village center. Coming from state road 156 near Ehrenberg, it leads as district road 8725 through Cunnersdorf and past the post mill belonging to the place in Polenztal to state road 161 and on towards Langenwolmsdorf. In Cunnersdorf a smaller road branches off from it to Polenz. Cunnersdorf is connected to the regional bus network of Saxon Switzerland and Eastern Ore Mountains (RVSOE) .
