Lorenzdorf (Polish Wawrzyńcowice ) is a place in Upper Silesia . Lorenzdorf belongs to the municipality of Klein Strehlitz ( Strzeleczki ) in the powiat Krapkowicki (Krappitz district) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Lorenzdorf is located seven kilometers southwest of the municipality seat Klein Strehlitz , twelve kilometers southwest of the district town Krapkowice (Krappitz) and 29 kilometers south of the voivodeship capital Opole .
Neighboring towns of Lorenzdorf are in the north Kujau ( Kujawy ), in the southeast Neuvorwerk ( But ) and in the south Zowade ( Zawada ) and Mutzkau ( Mucków ).
history
The place was first mentioned in 1679. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Neustadt OS
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Wawrzyńcowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to Powiat Krapkowicki . On May 17, 2006, German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality of Klein Strehlitz, which Lorenzdorf belongs to. On November 24, 2008, the place was also given the official German place name Lorenzdorf .
