Ludwig von Ysenburg-Philippseich (* February 7, 1815 in Munich ; † February 3, 1889 ibid) was a Bavarian lieutenant general and commander of Munich, and since 1871 knight of the Military Max Joseph Order .

Ludwig Rudolf Georg Adolf Friedrich Alexander Graf von Ysenburg-Philippseich came from the family of Ysenburg-Philippseich , a branch line of the dynastic Counts of Isenburg . His father Wilhelm Christoph Graf von Ysenburg-Philippseich (* 1782) died in 1860 as a royal Bavarian general of the infantry , his mother Juliane Charlotte Dorothea (Julie) (1787–1863) was born by Normann . Military career

Ysenburg-Philippseich entered the cadet corps in Munich as a pupil in 1826 and was appointed Junker in the 3rd Infantry Regiment on July 31, 1834 .
