Lutz Mohaupt (born August 7, 1942 in Grünberg / Silesia ) is a Lutheran theologian and was senior pastor at St. Jacobi in Hamburg for many years until 2005 . In 2005 he became press spokesman for the Hamburg Senate and sat from 2008 to 2011 as a member of the CDU - as a non-party member - in the Hamburg parliament . Lutz Mohaupt grew up in Cuxhaven after the war and studied theology from 1962 to 1967 at the universities in Hamburg , Heidelberg and Zurich . In 1975 Mohaupt was appointed senior church councilor in the Lutheran Church Office of the United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Germany (VELKD) in Hanover .
