Martin Walter Willich (born April 24, 1945 in Erfurt / Thuringia ) is a German lawyer , manager and politician ( CDU ). From 1974 to 1995 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament and its President in 1982 and 1986/87 . From 1984 to 2011 he was CEO of the production and service company Studio Hamburg .

Life

Origin and studies

Willich was born in 1945 as the son of a school councilor in Erfurt. He grew up in Kassel from 1950 to 1955 . He graduated from high school in Wetzlar in 1964 . This was followed in 1966 by a commercial assistant examination in wholesale and foreign trade and, between 1966 and 1968, military service in the armed forces.

From 1968 to 1972 he studied law at the University of Hamburg , which he completed with the first 1972 and the major legal state examination in 1975. In 1978 he was at the Department of Law with a thesis on historical and current problems of the legal status of the Federal Border, its functions and powers to the Dr. jur. PhD.

From 1975 to 1977 Willich was an assistant in the auditing company Arthur Andersen & Co. 1977/78 he was the auditor there. From 1978 to 1980 he was legal advisor and in-house lawyer at the Reemtsma cigarette company .

In 1980 he became managing director of Studio Hamburg Atelier GmbH alongside Claus Kühn and Helga Mauersberger , where he was appointed chairman of the management board from 1984 to 2011. The company has been producing the political talk show Anne Will since 2007 .

In 2005, Willich was elected to the Hamburg Constitutional Court by the citizenry at the suggestion of the CDU with 106 yes votes out of 116 votes .

Willich is a Protestant, married and the father of two children.

Willich was able to recover completely from a serious illness and two months of coma in 2002.

In 1965 he became a member of the CDU . In 1977 he was legal advisor to the regional executive committee of the CDU Hamburg .

Willich was a member of the Wandsbek district assembly from 1970 to 1974 .

From 1974 to 1995 he was a member of the Hamburg parliament . There he sat for his group on the Economic Committee and the Constitutional Committee. In 1977 he became a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee; In 1981/82 and again in 1982 he was deputy group chairman. 1982 and 1986/87 he took over the office of Citizenship President .
