Ute Pape
Ute Pape (born August 13, 1949 in Hamm ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1993 to 2000 she was President of the Hamburg Parliament and then until 2001 Senator for School, Youth and Vocational Training.
Life
Pape started her studies in 1969 . She studied in Bonn , Munich and Hamburg the subjects geography and German in teaching . In 1973 she got a job in the school service as a teacher . From 1977 to 1993 she worked as a school teacher working at the Julius-Leber-school. From 2003 to 2011 she was the headmistress of the Irena-Sendler-Schule in Hamburg, a long-term integrated comprehensive school and today's district school, which for decades bore the name Peter-Petersen-Schule.
Pape lives with the former Hamburg Environment Senator Anja Hajduk ( Greens ).
politics
In 1973 she joined the SPD and exercised many local political functions. Among other things, she was a board member and later chairwoman of the Hamburg-Flottbek local association . In addition, she campaigned against the controversial occupational bans ( radical decree ) and was active in the citizens' initiative "Save the Mühlenberger Loch ".
From January 1986 to 2001 she was a member of the Hamburg Parliament for the SPD. She sat there for her group in the Committee on Budgets, the Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and the Committee on the Constitution, Rules of Procedure and Election Review. From 1993 to 2000 she was mayor .
On April 5, 2000 she took over the senatorial office of the authority for school, youth and vocational training from Rosemarie Raab , who resigned on March 30 . She only held office until the end of the 2001 electoral term. After that, the Red-Green Senate was replaced by a CDU / Rule of Law Party / FDP coalition. After that, Pape was no longer in Parliament.
