Coordinates: 64 ° 36 ' N , 18 ° 41' E Lycksele is a municipality ( Swedish commun ) in the Swedish province of Västerbotten County and the historic province of Lapland . The main town of the municipality is Lycksele .
Other villages are Hedlunda, Kristineberg, Rusksele u. a. m. The European route 12 ( Blå Vägen ) and regional roads 353, 360, 363 and 365 run through the municipality. The Hällnäs – Storuman railway also runs through the municipality .
geography
The municipality, which lies in the foothills of the Scandinavian Mountains , extends about 140 kilometers from north to south. The Ume älv , where the main town is located, flows through the municipality .
economy
Forestry is an important industry. Companies such as SCA Skog AB and Holmen Skog AB have offices in Lycksele. Even mining companies as Lappland Goldminers AB and Boliden Mineral AB in Kristineberg are a traditional industry.

- In Kristineberg , 65 kilometers north of Lycksele, there is an underground church in the local pit 90 meters underground.
