Mörschenhardt is a district of Mudau in the Neckar-Odenwald district in Baden-Württemberg .

Mörschenhardt is located in the Odenwald at about 490 m above sea level. NHN on a plateau between the valleys of Teufelsbach and Mud . The village of Donebach is located southeast of the village . In the north, the state border with Bavaria runs with the village of Preunschen, which belongs to Kirchzell .
history
The name Mörschenhardt probably consists of the old German words "Mörsch", which means swampy headwaters and "Hardt", for forest. In 1271 Mörschenhardt came to Kurmainz , briefly in 1803 in the Principality of Leiningen and in 1806 in the Grand Duchy of Baden . In 1838 the Ernsttal community was incorporated into Mörschenhardt. On September 1, 1971, Mörschenhardt was incorporated into the Mudau community.
