Mühlberg (Schimmendorf)

Mühlberg is a desert in the municipality of Mainleus in the district of Kulmbach in Upper Franconia .

The wasteland was at an altitude of 433  m above sea level. NHN on the Mühlbergersleite 0.6 km northeast of Schimmendorf .

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1692 as "Mühlrangen". The lords of Guttenberg zu Kirchleus received the property from the Markgraftum Brandenburg-Kulmbach as a fief. In 1750 the place was mentioned as "Mühlberg am Rangen".

Towards the end of the 18th century there was a property in Mühlberg. The high court was exercised by the Bavarian Bailiwick of Kulmbach . Office I of the Kirchleus manor held the manorial rule over the little manor .

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the justice and chamber office Kulmbach . With the community edict, Mühlberg was assigned to the Kirchleus tax district formed in 1811 and the Kirchleus rural community formed in 1812 . As a result of the second community edict (1818), the place was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Schimmendorf . The place was mentioned for the last time in 1899. A little later the property was demolished.

Mühlberg was originally parish to St. Maria Magdalena (Kirchleus) , which became Protestant with the Reformation. In the 19th century the place was parish after St. Maria, Paulus and Peter in gardens red.
