Magdaline Jepkorir Chemjor

Magdaline Jepkorir Chemjor (born November 12, 1978 in Kabarnet ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

She is best known in Germany for her successes in the Berlin half marathon (victory 2003) and in the 25 km of Berlin (victory 2001 and 2002, second place 2003).

In the same year she was fifth at the World Cross Country Championships and won silver with the Kenyan team. At the World Half Marathon Championships she came 21st in Bristol in 2001 and 35th in Vilamoura in 2003. She was fourth in 2000 and second in the Zevenheuvelenloop in 2001 and 2003 , and in 2001 she won the Marseille - Cassis race .

In 2005 she gave birth to a daughter. In 2006 she started her comeback with a fourth place in the 25 km of Berlin.

In 2007 she finished fifth in the Tilburg Ladies Run 10K and won the Amsterdam Marathon in 2:28:16 h on her debut over the 42.195 km distance . In 2009 she finished fourth in the Portugal Half Marathon , won the half marathon competition in the Nairobi Marathon and finished seventh in the Singapore Marathon .
