Malaysian Open 2019

The Malaysian Open 2019 took place in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia from September 25-29, 2019 . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2019/20 and belonged to the PSA Challenger Tour 30 category . At the same time, a women's squash tournament of the 2019/20 PSA World Tour took place. It belongs to the PSA Challenger Tour 20 category .

Last year's winners were Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi for the men and Low Wee Wern for the women. Eain Yow Ng prevailed in the men's final against Nicolas Müller 11: 7, 12:14, 11: 9 and 11: 5. Rachel Arnold won the women's final against Low Wee Wern 11: 7, 11:13, 10:12, 11: 8 and 11: 5.

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consisted of 24 players each. The eight best players were seeded and given a bye in the first round. Per Wildcard received Ong Sai Hung and Darren Rahul Pragasam a spot in the main draw.

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money for the men was US $ 30,000.
