Ohana Malaysian Open 2017

The Ohana Malaysian Open 2017 took place in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia from October 18-21, 2017 . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2017/18 and belonged to the PSA 25 rating category .

The winner of the last edition in 2014 was Mohamed Elshorbagy . The tournament was won by Leo Au , who was placed third .

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Eain Yow Ng a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money was $ 25,000.
