Marc Benjamin Stähelin , also Staehelin (born April 15, 1986 in Basel ), is a Swiss actor .

Life

Marc Benjamin was born in Basel, but initially grew up in the country. His father is a surgeon , his mother a nurse . His older brother first studied economics in the USA; later sports management with a focus on football . Benjamin and his brother are fans of FC Basel .

Benjamin initially attended a theater course at the Junge Theater Basel from 2005 to 2006; there he already played the Leonce in 2007 in " Leonce and Lena ". From 2007 he studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich . In 2011 he completed his training there with an acting diploma. During his training he already played at the Münchner Kammerspiele . After completing his training, he was permanently engaged in the ensemble.

In the movie " Vaterfreuden " (2014; director: Matthias Schweighöfer ) he played the small role of the rickshaw driver. In the ARD television film “ Luis Trenker - The Narrow Ridge of Truth ” (first broadcast November 2015), he played Hitler's chauffeur Erich Kempka alongside Brigitte Hobmeier as Leni Riefenstahl . In the ARD television film « For one night ... and always? »(First broadcast November 2015) he played the 23-year-old professional poker player Tom , who falls in love with Eva , an attractive scientist over forty ( Juliane Köhler ).

In the international crime series " The Team " (first broadcast in March 2015), Benjamin took on the role of the young German undercover agent Max Ritter , who was smuggled into the organization of a wealthy Lithuanian businessman by Chief Inspector Harald Bjorn ( Lars Mikkelsen ), the head of the special unit and his daughter Bianca ( Jella Haase ) turns her head.
