description

inside view

In contrast to the neo-Gothic tower built in the 19th century , the so-called bass violin windows, which are more common in the surrounding area, clearly identify the east-facing hall church as a Rococo building. The nave and choir are united under a common gable roof . The exterior is structured by pilaster strips and plaster bands. The west tower, the ground floor of which also forms the vestibule to the church portal , is built on a square floor plan . Its substructure has a floor structure with pilaster strips. The octagonal top, which has tower clocks and sound openings on four sides , is structured by double stripes and crowned by an eight-sided pointed helmet.

In the interior, the nave and the chancel separated by a round chancel arch are each spanned by a flat barrel vault with stitch caps , which is decorated with ceiling paintings. The furnishings are in a rural Rococo style. The high altar , which shows a figure of St. Mary as Queen of Heaven , surrounded by flocks of angels , contains in the extract a depiction of the Holy Spirit dove, which is cleverly illuminated through the window behind it in the apex of the choir. Also worth mentioning is the group of figures Anna selbdritt , which is attached to the south wall of the nave.
