Marie Collonvillé (born November 23, 1973 in Amiens ) is a former French athlete . Her greatest success was the bronze medal in the pentathlon at the 2003 World Indoor Championships.

Life

With 5995 points at the European All-Around Cup in 1994, she qualified for her first major championship. With 19th place and 5697 points in the heptathlon at the European Championships in 1994 , their debut was not very successful. In 1995 she won her first French championship and was fifth at the Universiade . In 1996 she won her first indoor pentathlon title. At the European Cup 1996 she exceeded the 6000-point mark for the first time and then increased to 6143 points in the French championship, which she finished second behind Nathalie Teppe .

In 1997 she won the national championship title indoors and outdoors in the high jump . At the 1997 World Indoor Championships , she was eighth in the pentathlon. In the heptathlon she finished twelfth at the 1997 World Championships in Athens . At the Universiade in Catania she won bronze in the heptathlon and in the high jump. At the end of the 1997 season, she screwed her best at the Décastar in Talence to 6350 points.

At the European Indoor Championships in Valencia in 1998 , Collonvillé finished fifth with 4300 points, she won the European Cup with 6215 points and in Budapest at the 1998 European Championships she was eighth with 6218 points. In 1999 she became French heptathlon champion for the second time. At the 1999 World Championships in Seville, she reached ninth place with 6188 points.

After three weak seasons due to injury with an eleventh place and 5887 points at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton as the only place she was French indoor champion in 2003. At the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham in 2003 , she won the bronze medal behind Carolina Klüft and Natallja Sasanowitsch with a personal best of 4644 points . In her first Olympic participation, the Olympic Games in Athens , she finished seventh with 6279 points. A week later she set a world record in the decathlon for women in Talence with 8150 points .

At the European Indoor Championships in 2005 she was sixth with 4538 points. In the outdoor season, she won the Mediterranean Games with 6017 points. At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 , she finished sixth with 6248 points. In 2006, Collonvillé became French pentathlon indoor champion for the third time. At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, she reached ninth place with 6244 points.

Marie Collonvillé is 1.63 m tall and has a competition weight of 55 kg.
