Natallia Sasanovich

Natallja Sasanovich ( Belarusian Наталля Сазановіч , English transcription Natallia Sazanovich ; born August 15, 1973 in Baranavichy ) is a former Belarusian heptathlete .

The junior world champion from 1992 won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 with her personal best of 6563 behind Ghada Shouaa (SYR) and before Denise Lewis (GBR).

A fifth place at the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 was followed by a bronze medal at the 1998 European Athletics Championships in Budapest.

She also won a bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney behind Denise Lewis and the Russian Jelena Prokhorova, who was just four points ahead of her .

She won silver at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton, bronze at the 2002 European Championships in Munich and bronze at the 2003 World Championships in Paris.

For her last competition, she started at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, but had to give up there after the 100-meter hurdles .
