Marienkapelle Rölsdorf
The Marienkapelle Rölsdorf is located in Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The small chapel is on the corner of Monschauer Strasse ( Bundesstrasse 399 ) and Kapellenstrasse . It was built between 1855 and 1860. It is popularly called the Cohnenskapellchen because it is said to have been built by the Cohnen couple on the occasion of the birth of their son Matthias.
The small neo-Gothic brick chapel has a 3/8 choir and pointed arched side windows. In the street-side gable is a pointed arched step portal with the double-winged original door. Inside is the original neo-Gothic altar with a statue of the Virgin Mary.
The building is registered under No. 1/076 in the list of monuments of the city of Düren.
