St. Pankratius (Konzendorf)

The chapel

The St. Pankratius Chapel is a church building in the Düren district of Konzendorf in the Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia . She was dedicated to St. Martyr Pankratius consecrated. The chapel community was a branch chapel of the parish Langerwehe until 1804. Since then it has been part of the parish of St. Michael (Echtz) .

The first chapel was built in 1183 and demolished at the beginning of the 19th century due to its disrepair. At the end of this century, the current chapel was built opposite the former location. The local residents built the small church on their own. A comprehensive renovation took place in 1991/92.

The building has two bays and a choir closed on three sides with a ribbed vault . On the west gable there is a turret with a small bell. The chapel has 18 seats and 20 standing places.

The chapel is entered in the list of monuments of the city of Düren under No. 8/4.
