The chapel

The St. Hubertus Chapel is located in Kufferath , a district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is a branch church of St. Michael (Lendersdorf) .

The first considerations for building a house of worship date back to 1886. Construction materials were also procured, but since the upper and lower villages could not agree on a location, the construction project stagnated. The project only revived after the Second World War . In 1951 a chapel building association was founded. At the beginning of the 1950s, the community donated the building plot. Meadow festivals brought money to the club's treasury for construction. The necessary quarry stones were broken by the villagers near Langenbroich themselves. The first mass was celebrated in 1957 and the inauguration followed on November 8, 1959. A meadow festival is still held every two years, with the proceeds of which the church is renovated and beautified.
