The chapel

The castle chapel is a Roman Catholic chapel and is located in the Düren district of Gürzenich in North Rhine-Westphalia , Graf Schellart Weg.

The baroque chapel was built in 1718, as an inscription shows. It has an octagonal floor plan. There is a tent roof with an open lantern above the building . The arched windows and the portal are made of stone . Inside there is a baroque altar. The chapel, which stands in the immediate vicinity of the former Gürzenich Castle, was built on the occasion of the marriage of a Count von Schellart.

The building is entered in the list of monuments of the city of Düren under No. 6/012.
