Mark Valley
Mark Thomas Valley (born December 24, 1964 in Ogdensburg , New York ) is an American actor .
Life
After completing his training at the Military Academy in West Point in 1987, Valley was then stationed in Germany for five years, mainly in Berlin. Since then he speaks fluent German. During his military career, he also took part in the Second Gulf War. He was discovered by a casting agent in Berlin and got his first role in the McEwan film adaptation in 1992 ... and the sky stands still by John Schlesinger .
Valley has a daughter born in 1987. In December 2008, Valley married fellow actress Anna Torv , who was his partner in the FBI's Fringe series . In April 2010 it was announced that they are now living separately.

The role of Jack Deveraux , which Valley played in the American soap opera Zeit der Sehnsucht , brought him his first success. This was followed by guest appearances in a few series and supporting roles in films. He played the lead role in the short-lived series Keen Eddie , for which he was nominated for a Teen Choice Award as Choice TV Breakout Star - Male in 2003 .
Valley's best-known role is that of attorney Brad Chase in Boston Legal , which he played from 2004 to 2007. For this he was nominated three times for a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2006 , 2007 and 2008 together with the series ensemble . In JJ Abrams ' series Fringe - Borderline cases of the FBI he portrayed John Scott . From 2010 Valley played the leading role of Christopher Chance in the series Human Target , the series based on the comic book of the same name came in two seasons.
From September 2011, Valley was again to be seen as a lawyer in a David E. Kelley series after Boston Legal , in Harry's Law he played the lead role of Oliver Richard from the second season . After Harry's Law was discontinued after the second season, Valley took on a lead role in the third season of Body of Proof .
