Marko Marić (born January 3, 1996 in Vienna , Austria ) is a Croatian soccer goalkeeper .
Career
society
Marić began his career at Post SV Vienna . In 2004 he joined the youth team at SK Rapid Vienna . With the Rapidler he went through various youth departments and also the academy. After he was in the squad of the second team for the first time in September 2011, he made his debut in the regional league in May 2012 when he was in the starting line-up against SV Mattersburg II on matchday 26 of the 2011/12 season.
In March 2013, Marić was in the Rapidler professional squad for the first time. He made his debut in the Bundesliga in May 2014 on the 36th matchday of the 2013/14 season against SV Ried .
For the 2015/16 season, Marić moved to Germany for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , but was loaned out directly to Lechia Gdańsk in Poland . After that season he returned to Hoffenheim.
In January 2017 he was awarded to the second division Hannover 96 until the end of the season . At Hanover, however, he was only used for the regional league team.
In August 2017 he was sent to Norway to the Lillestrøm SK lent. Here he completed 59 championship and seven cup games in two and a half years. He was also used on July 26, 2018 in the Europa League qualification in the away game at LASK (0: 4). After the 2019 season, he initially returned to Hoffenheim before moving to Houston Dynamo in the USA in January 2020 .
National team
Marić first completed a game for the Austrian U-16 selection in 2011 . From 2012 he finally played for Croatia. With the Croatian U-17 team , he took part in the European Championship in 2013 .
