Maximilian von Kerckerinck zur Borg
Maximilian Friedrich Anton Hubert Maria Freiherr von Kerckerinck zur Borg (born June 10, 1829 in Münster ; † May 21, 1905 ibid) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and district administrator for the Ahaus district from 1861 to 1874.
Life
Origin and family
From Kerckerinck to Borg the spouses Engelbert as the son Baron Kerckerinck to Borg and Franziska Baroness von Ascheberg to Venne a Münster Erbmännergeschlecht that in the 1710 Empire baron was charged. On June 18, 1868, he married Theresia Freiin von Fürstenberg (* 1841, † 1917), daughter of Clemens Maria Franz Walpurgis von Fürstenberg (* 1791, † 1891) and Antonia von Weichs zur Wenne (* 1808, † 1891) in Münster . Four children resulted from this marriage. Her son Engelbert von Kerckerinck zur Borg was chairman of the Westphalian farmers' association . Her daughter Maria was a well-known champion in the Catholic Women's Association .
Professional background
He received his first school lessons from private teachers at home. From 1842 he attended the high school in Münster and on August 30, 1849 obtained his school-leaving certificate . He studied law and cameralia at the universities of Würzburg , Heidelberg , Bonn and Berlin and in September 1852 passed the auscultation exam at the Münster appellate court . He did his military service in 1852/1853 as a one-year volunteer in an artillery regiment and was a Landwehr officer . During the mobilizations in 1855 and 1859 he took part in Landwehr exercises.
Appointed court trainee in March 1855, he switched to administration and on April 18, 1856 passed the examination to become a government trainee with the Münster government "with distinction". In 1858 he was temporarily entrusted with the administration of the Steinfurt District Office . In the spring of 1859 he completed an apprenticeship in the domain administration of the Potsdam district government, with the result that he was admitted to the higher state examination. Before passing the exam, he was the first candidate for the office of the district administrator on May 30, 1860 circle Ahaus elected and appointed district on April 27. 1861 In this office - the official seat was in Gut Sondershaus in Ahaus - he remained until his discharge from civil service on March 30, 1874. The beginning of the Kulturkampf in Westphalia in 1872 put an end to his work. The Prussian government had more than half of the district offices in the province of Westphalia occupied by Protestant bourgeois district administrators.
Von Kerckerinck zur Borg was a member of the Provincial Parliament from 1877 to 1885 .
