Marko Pjaca [ pjatsa ] (born May 6, 1995 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian football player . The striker is under contract with Juventus Turin and is a Croatian international .
Career
societies
Pjaca began his career at Dinamo Zagreb at the age of nine and joined the youth department of NK Lokomotiva Zagreb via the ZET Zagreb station in July 2010 . There he made his debut on February 24th in a 3-0 home win against NK Zadar in the 1st HNL and moved up to the first team for the 2012/13 season . On March 15, 2013, he scored his first goal in professional football in a 4-2 away win against NK Zagreb .
For the 2014/15 season , Pjaca returned to league rivals Dinamo Zagreb, with whom he played in the Europa League that season. There he scored three goals in a 4-3 win against Celtic Glasgow on December 11, 2014 . In the league, Pjaca met eleven times in 32 games and won the championship and the Croatian Cup with the team . After successfully qualifying , the team played in the 2015/16 season in the Champions League , in which Pjaca was used in all six group games . Nationally, he again secured the double of championship and cup with Dinamo .
For the 2016/17 season , Pjaca moved to the Italian record champions Juventus Turin , with whom he signed a five-year contract. With Juventus he won the championship and the Italian Cup that season .
On January 4, 2018, Pjaca moved to Germany on loan to Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04 and returned to Italy after the 2017/18 Bundesliga season . He was then awarded to the league rivals Fiorentina . In the 2019/20 season he was active again for the Italian record champions, but remained without action due to injuries. In order to gain match practice, Pjaca was awarded to RSC Anderlecht at the end of January 2020 until the end of the season. As a result of the premature termination of the season in Belgium due to the COVID-19 pandemic , he was on the pitch in four of only six possible league games. When the loan expired, he returned to Juventus Turin in July 2020.
National team
Pjaca went through from the U17 to the youth national teams of the Croatian Football Association . With the U20 selection , he took part in the U20 World Cup in Turkey in 2013 . Pjaca was used in all four games of his team and failed with her in the round of 16 with 0-2 to Chile . He played nine times for the U21 national team and scored his only goal for this selection in a 4-0 win over San Marino on November 11, 2015 .
On September 4, 2014 Pjaca made his debut as part of a friendly against Cyprus in the senior team . At the European Championships in France in 2016 he played three times and got with his team to the last sixteen , in which they lost against the eventual title holder Portugal (0: 1 aet). In the 2018 FIFA World Cup he came three times to use, reaching with his team the final in which they the French team with 2: defeated fourth
