Markus Schwiderowski (born December 12, 1973 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a former German soccer player .
Football career
At the age of seven he started playing football at FC Schalke 04 , where he played in the youth teams from the F-youth up to the A-youth.
From 1988 to 1994 he made a total of 52 international youth matches (U16 – U21) for the DFB . He took part in the U-17 and U-19 European championships and the U-20 world championships. On December 30, 1989, he was the winning team in the biggest win (12-0 against Malta in Holon / Israel) of a DFB youth national team Libero: Among others Dimo Wache , Torsten Lieberknecht , Max Eberl , Jens Nowotny , Thomas Reis , Frank Schmidt , André Breitenreiter . At the U-20 World Cup in 1993, however , he failed as captain of the German team with his teammates Dietmar Hamann , Carsten Ramelow and Carsten Jancker in the preliminary round.
Schwiderowski made his Bundesliga debut on March 28, 1992 (30th matchday) in the Wildpark Stadium at Karlsruher SC . He was substituted on for Andreas Müller in the 0-1 defeat of coach Aleksandar Ristić in the 34th minute of the game . There were three more games against Werder Bremen , Fortuna Düsseldorf and Stuttgarter Kickers on the last three game days of the 1991/92 season.
In the next few years he played for the amateurs of FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund . In 1996 he moved to the Regionalliga West / Südwest for 1. FC Bocholt , with whom he was relegated to the Oberliga Nordrhein . In 1999 the regional league team SC Verl signed him . In 2002 he moved to the upper division SSVg Velbert . After winning the Lower Rhine Cup in 2003, Schwiderowski reached the second main round with the team in the 2003/04 DFB Cup . In January 2004, the Libero returned to 1. FC Bocholt and played for the Hünting club for another four years . As a player-coach, Schwiderowski took over SV Gelsenkirchen-Hessler from 2008 .
Markus Schwiderowski belongs to the traditional team of FC Schalke 04.
