Markus Schwiderowski (born December 12, 1973 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a former German soccer player .

Football career

At the age of seven he started playing football at FC Schalke 04 , where he played in the youth teams from the F-youth up to the A-youth.

From 1988 to 1994 he made a total of 52 international youth matches (U16 – U21) for the DFB . He took part in the U-17 and U-19 European championships and the U-20 world championships. On December 30, 1989, he was the winning team in the biggest win (12-0 against Malta in Holon / Israel) of a DFB youth national team Libero: Among others Dimo ​​Wache , Torsten Lieberknecht , Max Eberl , Jens Nowotny , Thomas Reis , Frank Schmidt , André Breitenreiter . At the U-20 World Cup in 1993, however , he failed as captain of the German team with his teammates Dietmar Hamann , Carsten Ramelow and Carsten Jancker in the preliminary round.

Schwiderowski made his Bundesliga debut on March 28, 1992 (30th matchday) in the Wildpark Stadium at Karlsruher SC .
