Marlene Ahrens Ostertag (born July 27, 1933 in Concepción ; † June 17, 2020 ) was a Chilean athlete who competed in the javelin . In the second half of the 1950s and the first half of the 1960s, she was the dominant South American athlete in her discipline and won four continental championships in a row. In addition, she secured two gold medals at Pan American Games and was the first female javelin thrower in South America to win these competitions.

In 1956 she represented her country at the Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia , where she won the silver medal with a personal best of 50.38 meters.

Marlene Ahrens belonged to the German minority of Chile, the so-called Chile-Germans .
