Martin Bader (born March 25, 1992 in Dornbirn ) is an Austrian triathlete and U23 national triathlon champion (2014).

Career

Martin Bader was active in swimming at the Dornbirn Swimming Club before he started his first triathlon at the age of ten. His father is the president of the Vorarlberg Triathlon Association. His sister Daniela is also active as a triathlete.

In 2014, the Vorarlberg U23 national champion was triathlon.

Bader starts the triathlon in races on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).
Since 2015, he has also competed in the middle distance (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running) in the Ironman 70.3 races. In September 2016 he won the Triathlon di Locarno in Switzerland in the middle distance. In August 2017, the 25-year-old finished second in the Trans Vorarlberg Triathlon .

He is trained by Urs Ritter and lives in Dornbirn.
