Martin Geisen

Martin Geisen (* 1987 in Daun ) is a German actor .

Life

Geisen grew up in Daun in the Eifel and from the age of 12 in Rheinbach near Bonn . Since 1994 he has been on stage for several children's theater productions and started making his own short films and videos. As a teenager he worked for a few years on the side in a cinema and in the warehouse of a carpet dealer. After graduating from high school , he first trained as a paramedic and worked for the rescue service for three years . In addition, he began 2009 a study of geography and political science at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen , which he in 2013 with the Bachelor graduated of Science.

From 2012 to 2015 Geisen completed an apprenticeship at the School for Drama in Hamburg and worked there with Wladimir Tarasjanz , Ulrike Maack, Wilfried Minks , Cornelia Schirmer and Samuel Weiß, among others .

During his training he could be seen on several Hamburg stages, B. the Altonaer Theater , Thalia Theater or Hamburger Kammerspiele . After the final piece What you want , directed by Annelore Sarbach , Geisen received an engagement in 2015 as Lars Koch in Ferdinand von Schirach's Terror at the Mainzer Kammerspiele . In 2016 Geisen became a permanent member of the ensemble at the Westphalian State Theater and in 2017 moved to the Stadttheater Trier under the direction of Caroline Stolz and Alexander May .

Geisen has also been in front of the camera more and more since 2017. He became known to a wider audience through the role of Markus Gelden in Die Füchsin: Trace in the Past . Under the direction of Jan Frers, he made the feature film Just Drifting Along in 2017 , which was nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize for "Best Feature Film 2018". Geisen was also nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize for "Best Young Actors 2018" for his role as David in the film. He also stood in front of the camera for Alarm for Cobra 11 , Die Pfefferkörner or the episode Zorn des Dortmunder Tatort .

Geisen is also a musician and concert organizer.
