Mathematics Prize from the Accademia dei XL

The Mathematics Prize of the Accademia dei XL (Italian: Medaglia dei XL per la Matematica ) is usually awarded annually by the Accademia Nazionale delle Scienze in the form of a medal. There is also a corresponding medal for physics and science. It is awarded by the Academy on behalf of the Italian government and both are among the first official prizes in Italy since the establishment of the Kingdom of Italy in 1866.
