Matt Stover (* 27. January 1968 in Dallas , Texas ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the Kickers . He played mainly for the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL). With a rate of 83.7%, Stover is one of the most accurate kickers in the NFL.

college

He played college football for Louisiana Tech University and scored 64 field goals in 88 attempts. With a field goal from 57 yards , he set a school record.

NFL

In 1990 he was selected by the New York Giants in the NFL Draft and moved to the Cleveland Browns in 1991 . In 1996 he went to the Baltimore Ravens and won the Super Bowl ( Super Bowl XXXV ) with them . In 2009 he was hired by the Indianapolis Colts after their kicker Adam Vinatieri was injured. With the Colts he made it into Super Bowl XLIV .
