Max Hartmann (judge)

Maximilian August Ludwig Hartmann (born September 9, 1841 in Jastrow , Deutsch Krone district , † March 26, 1926 in Naumburg (Saale) ) was a German judge.

Life

Max Hartmann comes from a family of lawyers. His father was Ludwig George Hartmann . Max Hartmann studied law at the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin . On December 2, 1861, he became active in the Corps Normannia Berlin . He was reciprocated on June 21, 1862 and inactivated as a proven consenior on April 21, 1863 . After the exams he entered the administration of justice in the Kingdom of Prussia . From 1870 he was district judge in Sorau , Ostrau and Birnbaum , where he was appointed district judge in 1872. In 1879 he came to Lissa as a district judge . There since 1887 regional court director, in 1895 he became regional court president at the regional court in Dortmund . After three years he came to the district court Berlin II in the same position . In 1906, at the age of 65, he became the first President of the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court . In 1909 he finally came to the Naumburg Higher Regional Court . In 1914 he was made an honorary citizen of the city of Naumburg (Saale) . As a real Go Council with the title of Excellency he retired on October 1, 1917.
