Maximilian Freiherr Reising von Reisinger (* 1774 in Mährisch Neustadt , Olmützer Kreis, † January 30, 1848 in Josefstadt , Königgrätzer Kreis , Bohemia ) was an imperial-royal lieutenant field marshal in the Austrian army and commander of the Josefstadt fortress in Bohemia.

origin

Maximilian Freiherr Reising von Reisinger was a son of the Imperial and Royal Major General Maximilian Reising von Reisinger (* in Webrowa near Bischofteinitz in West Bohemia) and a grandson of Anton Josef Norbert Reisinger, (* 1680). He came from a bourgeois family in Kaplitz in South Bohemia and was raised to the hereditary-Austrian nobility with the title Reising von Reisinger as kk Feldstückhauptmann in 1731 and was married to Maria Katharina Campan , who owned the Webrowa estate near Bischofteinitz in western Bohemia in 1735 sold to the Lordship of Bischofteinitz.

Life

As a graduate of the Theresian Knight Academy in Vienna , Maximilian Reising von Reisinger became an ensign in infantry regiment No. 12 in 1790 , took part in the siege of Mainz fortress on the Rhine in 1793 , in 1809 in the battle of Aspern and Wagram near Vienna, became major general in 1826 , 1840 owner of the kk infantry regiment No. 18 , 1843 field marshal lieutenant and commander of the fortress Josefstadt near Königgrätz on the Elbe in Bohemia. After 30 years of service he was promoted to the Austrian baron in 1845 for his services .

His grave is in the Rasošky military cemetery .

There were seven children from the marriage of Maximilian Freiherr Reising von Reisinger and Josefa Gabriel, who died in 1835:

  • Gustav (1826 - 1876), kk captain in Archduke Ludwig Viktor's 65th Infantry Regiment, who married Elisabeth Flora Hermine zur Helle (1836 - 1931), born in Namischt in Moravia , in 1865 .
  • Antonie (1831 - 1924), married to her widowed brother-in-law Johann von Woinovich, † Venice 1886, after the death of her sister Elisa.
  • Maximilian (1835 - 1859), kk lieutenant in Benedek Infantry Regiment No. 28.

The cousin of Maximilian Freiherr Reising von Reising (1774 - 1848), Anton Josef Reising von Reisinger, died in 1817, was married to Euphrosina Neumann, a daughter of the gingerbread maker and wax candle maker Valentin Neumann, owner of the Neumann house, formerly the Goldenkroner house on the market square in Krumau ( Cesky Krumlov ) in South Bohemia and sister of the 38th abbot of the Hohenfurth monastery in the Bohemian Forest Oswald Neumann . Anton Josef Reising von Reisinger was a field piece captain a. D. Hofkavalier of Josef Adam Fürst zu Schwarzenberg and guard commander of the ducal-princely guard grenadier bodyguard in Krumau Castle in South Bohemia. The eleven children of the Reising von Reisinger couple were born in Krumau Castle.
