history

Between Ples, Jasenná , Vlkov, Smržov and Lejšovka, the Rasošky forest with several ponds extended until the end of the 18th century . Between Smiřice , Zderaz and Skalice there was a fenced game garden on the left bank of the Elbe. The forest was mentioned for the first time in 1500 in the country table in the course of an acquisition to the Smiřice rule by Nicholas the Younger Trčka von Lípa . The Count von Sternberg did in 1700 through the forest a tree-Linden and Mountain Ash Avenue from the castle to the chapel Smiřice invest in Ples. There was a hunting lodge on the road from Vlkov to Ples.

In the land register of the Smiřice manor in 1588, the size of the forest was estimated at 55 lanes 26 hare yarn or a total of 120 leč (approx. 2160 ha). After the Thirty Years' War the extent of the dominant forest of the dominion was halved; the land register from 1655 indicates an area of 62 Leč (approx. 1116 ha) for les Rasošek . The northern half of the forest was cleared from 1780 for the construction of the Josefstadt fortress. In the autumn of 1783 another deforestation took place to meet the needs of the fortress construction management's firewood.

In the course of the fortress construction, the largest part of the elongated village of Ples had to be demolished, only the top ( Starý Ples ) and the bottom ( Dolní Ples ) remained. The residents of Ples, who were to be relocated, were sold building land on the edge of the fortress area on the clear cutting, and the villages of Rasošek and Nový Ples were built.

Rasošek's first houses were built in 1780 and 1781. The village was initially laid out as an anger village ( Velká Ves ). When parts of the residents of Ples were also to be relocated to Rozběřice , they asked Emperor Joseph II to relocate in the vicinity of their old village. Then Rasošek was extended to the north by the rows of houses Chalupy and Lumera. The children were enrolled in the trivial school in Vlkov. The new cemetery was built around the Hubertus chapel at Starý Ples. Rasošek, Nový Ples, Starý Ples and Dolní Ples continued to form the Ples cadastre, from which the fortified town of Josefstadt had been spun off. In the first half of the 19th century an inn was built on the road to Vlkov.

In 1836 the village Rasoschek , also called Rasossek or Rasosska , in the Königgrätzer Kreis , consisted of 67 houses in which 528 people lived. There was an inn in the village. The parish was Jasena . The kk camera rule Smiřitz-Hořeniowes remained crown property until 1848 and then became an imperial domain, the management of which was transferred to the kk privileged Credit Institution .

After the abolition of patrimonial Rasošky formed from 1849 a district of the community Ples in the judicial district Jaroměř . From 1868 the village belonged to the Koeniginhof district on the Elbe . In 1890 the municipality of Ples was dissolved into three municipalities; next to Rasošky (with the district Dolní Ples t. Vodní Ples) these were Starý Ples and Nový Ples. At the end of the 19th century, the Rasošky community established its own cemetery north of the village. In 1893 the children from Rasošky were retrained from Vlkov to Josefstadt. In 1949 Rasošky was assigned to the newly formed Okres Jaroměř; this was repealed in the course of the territorial reform of 1960, since then the community has belonged to Okres Náchod. The municipality has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2016.

The three Rasošky settlements grew together into one village in the 20th century, and the development was extended to the Vlkov corridor in the southwest. Today there is a kindergarten, a primary school and a post office in Rasošky.
