history

Wallenstein (Albrecht Wenzel Eusebius von Waldstein), 1583–1634

Heřmanice has been documented since 1352. It was the seat of a small manor whose owners often changed. In 1497 it belonged to Waniek Ples von Slaupno , who pledged it to Heinrich Berka von Dubá , from whom he redeemed it in 1516. In 1520 it was bought by Georg von Gersdorff , who sold it to the town of Jaroměř. Since the city supported the class uprising of 1547, its property was confiscated by the Bohemian King Ferdinand I and handed over to the Royal Chamber .

She sold Hermanitz and five surrounding villages in 1548 to Baron Johann von Waldstein , who gave it to his nephew Wilhelm the Elder. Ä. inherited from Waldstein. His son Albrecht Wenzel Eusebius von Waldstein was probably born in 1583 in what was then the castle of Hermanitz. He inherited the rule of Hermanitz after the death of his father in 1595 and put his parents' gravestones that have been preserved in the church. It was a small manor with fewer than 100 inherited and taxable farmers. After Wallenstein got to large estates in Moravia through his marriage in 1609 , he sold the rule of Hermanitz in 1610 to his uncle, the chief mint master of Bohemia and captain of the Königgrätzer district , Hannibal von Waldstein († 1622). Because of its over-indebtedness, Hermanitz was in 1618 by Wilhelm d. Ä. von Lobkowitz auctioned.

In 1618 Heinrich von Oppersdorf acquired it , who was expropriated in 1621 because he had been involved in the class uprising of 1618. In 1623 it came from the Royal Chamber in turn to Albrecht Wenzel Eusebius von Waldstein, who a year later sold it to Maria Magdalena von Lobkowitz († 1633), who was married to Jan Rudolf Trčka von Lípa († 1634). In 1636 both were expropriated posthumously by the Roman German and Bohemian King Ferdinand II and the possessions they had left behind were assigned to the Royal Chamber. The following owners of Hermanitz and Gradlitz were the Danish brothers and Austrian counts Franz († 1636) and Corfitz Jacobsen von Ulefeld (also: von Ulfeldt) († 1664), who gave it up in 1641. In 1655 it was acquired by Octavio Piccolomini , who already owned the neighboring Nachod estate . He sold Hermanitz in 1661 to a Countess Czernin , who left it to the Margrave of Baden . It was acquired from him in 1662 by the imperial count Johann von Sporck , who presumably linked it with his rule in Gradlitz . Later Hermanitz came to the order of the merciful brothers . The Hermanitz Castle was already in ruins and uninhabited in the second half of the 18th century. When the Josefstadt Fortress was built 40 km north of Königgrätz from 1780–1790, its stone was removed and built on at the behest of Emperor Josef II.

After the abolition of patrimonial in 1848, Hermanitz became an independent municipality and belonged to the Jaroměř judicial district until 1938. In the 1921 census, 416 people lived in the community's 67 houses, including 361 Germans and 65 Czechs. Until 1945 it was a German-Czech language border village. As a result of the Munich Agreement , it was annexed to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Trautenau district until 1945 . 1945 Heřmanice was incorporated into the Okres Jaroměř; after its dissolution it came to the Okres Náchod on July 1, 1960.

They were erected in 1602 by their son Albrecht. On the outer walls are the gravestones of his siblings Hedwig / Hedvika, Johann Georg / Jan Jiří, Adam and Magdalena.
