Česká Čermná (formerly: Tamchynova Čermná ; German: Böhmisch Tscherma ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers east of Náchod and has bordered Poland since the end of World War II in 1945 . It has a border crossing for small border traffic into the neighboring Brzozowie , a district of Kudowa-Zdrój .

history

Česká Čermná belonged to the Nachod domain . It was parish to the Náchod parish church of St. Laurentius and was first mentioned in writing in 1448. For 1449 the Tamchyn von Doubrawitz ( Tamchynové z Doubravic ) are proven as fief takers . Under Duke Heinrich d. Ä. the previous fiefdom privilege was renewed in 1480. The Tamchyn von Doubrawitz, after whom the village was also called "Tamchynova Čermná", held the place for around 50 years. Due to its geographical location and the common belonging to the Nachod estate, Čermná had strong economic and family ties to the Bohemian Corner . After this in 1477 by the owner of the Nachod estate, Duke Heinrich d. Ä. , was incorporated into the neighboring rule Hummel , which he incorporated into his county Glatz in the same year , Česká Čermná now bordered on this and after the Silesian Wars from 1763 on Prussia and from 1816 on the district of Glatz . Since the abolition of patrimonial in 1848, Česká Čermná has been an independent municipality.

In addition to agriculture, home weaving was of economic importance. From the middle of the 19th century, the majority of the population worked in the post or textile factories, including those of Isaak Mautner . The Dobrošov fortress was built between Česká Čermná and Běloves in 1937/38 as part of the so-called Czechoslovak Wall as part of the measures to strengthen the border with the German Empire .
