Mezilečí (German Mesletsch ) is a municipality in Okres Náchod in the Czech Republic . The place is located eight kilometers northwest of the city of Česká Skalice .
geography
Mezilečí lies in the valley of the Válovický creek , which flows into the Aupa at Velký Třebešov . Neighboring towns are Křižanov ( Kreuzhöfner ) and Libňatov in the north, Mečov ( Metschow ) in the northeast, Litoboř and Slatina in the east, Hořičky and Světlá ( Lichten ) in the southeast, Chavlkovice in the south and Brzice in the southwest.
history
Mezilečí was first mentioned in a document in 1495 and at that time belonged to the Smiřice domain . In 1871, the then owner of the estate, the Reichenberg textile manufacturer Franz von Liebieg , sold Mezleč, as the place was still called at that time, for 80,000 guilders to Prince Wilhelm zu Schaumburg-Lippe , who owned the neighboring Nachod estate .
