Media library Hessen
The Hessen Mediathek is the video and audio portal for the Hessen region . The video-on-demand platform was founded in 2009. The Mediathek Hessen is a cooperation project between the Hessian State Authority for Private Broadcasting and New Media (LPR) in Kassel and GMM AG Gesellschaft für Medien Marketing Kommunikation . The media library is based in Munich.

On the video-on-demand platform, users will find a selection of full-length articles. The contributions are selected editorially and are intended to give users an overview of what is happening in the Hesse region.
The media library in Hessen ranges from news broadcasts ( Open Channels Hessen, RTL Hessen, Sat.1 ) to editorial contributions (TV-Wiesbaden, Rhein Main TV ) to the latest from the Hessen region ( Diocese of Fulda , Handwerk in Hessen).
Audio contributions from various commercial ( planet more music radio , Radio Bob , NRJ Rhein-Main, Hit Radio FFH ) and non-commercial radio stations ( RaDar Darmstadt , Radio Rüsselsheim , Radio X Frankfurt ) are also available from the Hessen Media Center. The articles in the Hessen Media Library are available worldwide and can be accessed at no additional cost.
Resolution and formats
The contributions offered as video-on-demand are offered in Flash format . The audio podcasts are made available in MP3 format .
Initiators
The Hessen Media Center is a joint project of the Hessian State Authority for Private Broadcasting and New Media (LPR) and the Aktiengesellschaft für Medien Marketing Kommunikation (GMM AG). The media library is represented on the LPR side by Professor Wolfgang Thaenert (Director LPR) and Annette Schriefers (Head of Youth Protection, Press and Public Relations), and at GMM AG by Herbert F. Schnaudt (Board Spokesman) and Michael Bachmann (Board Member).
