The Medical University of Stara Sagora was founded in 1945 as a medical college . In 1995 it was merged with the Universities of Agriculture and Technology to form the Trakia University Stara Sagora . In addition to the medical faculty, there is also a medical college. The university is a member of the network of Balkan universities .
