The Medical University of Varna (rarely also Medical University of Varna ; Bulgarian Медицински университет "Проф. П. Стоянов") in Varna is one of five medical universities in Bulgaria . It was founded on October 1, 1961. The current rector is Krassimir Ivanov.

  • The affiliated academy provides training in medical assistant professions such as nursing, therapy and rehabilitation.

The university is a member of the network of Balkan universities (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro).
