The Angel Kantschew University Russe ( Bulgarian : Русенски университет "Ангел Кънчев" ) is a state university founded in 1954 in the Bulgarian city of Russe with around 10,000 students. The university bears the name of the famous Bulgarian revolutionary and freedom fighter Angel Kanchev .
