Mensch und Computer is a series of conferences on the subject of human-computer interaction . Since 2001, the conference has usually taken place at the beginning of September at different locations in German-speaking countries.

history

Against the background of the much-noticed memorandum “Human & Computer 2000. Information, Interaction, Cooperation”, the conference series “Human and Computer” is an effort to bring various specialist areas and fields of practice into a fruitful discourse and to benefit as many people as possible from one another learn.

The conference series was created in 2001 by merging the long-established conference series Software-Ergonomie and German-Computer-Supported-Cooperative Work. Since 2003 the conference has included a practitioner track supported by the German UPA . The conference took place irregularly together with the German E-Learning Conference DeLFI (2004, 2008, 2010, 2013).

The series of conferences is supported by the human-computer interaction department of the Gesellschaft für Informatik and the German UPA (the professional association of German usability and user experience professionals).
