Reviews

“This book is a real pager runner - full of action from start to finish. The story is constantly moving in a new direction that cannot be foreseen. The protagonists are shown vividly and the dialogues are written with a great deal of humor. Robotham's casual writing style makes this book a real pleasure to read.

Conclusion: If you like action and a quick sequence of actions, this book is the right choice. I highly recommend it!"

“[…] Robotham did not reinvent the thriller. […] Robotham's novels owe their tension to the way they are told. He doesn't just tell a story, his characters tell their story. [...] It is the many small details with which this author lovingly equips his characters. He is by no means loving them, he expects them to do a lot. But this is how the characters come to life in front of the reader's eyes, he lives and suffers with them - and therefore likes to overlook the conventional plot. "

- Marcel Feige in his review of Michael Robotham, May 31, 2011

Adrenaline blows your head through. In the United Kingdom, Michael Robotham is considered a new thriller star. Rightly. In glamorous dialogues, he drills the old story of the man who has to prove his innocence by catching the guilty party again: as that of the psychotherapist who has to put aside his professional prejudices - or breaks down.

- Volker Ullrich in Die Zeit , August 24, 2006

“Michael Robotham's debut thriller Adrenalin is consistently a success and has great entertainment value. The mixture of suspense, the black humor of the first-person narrator and rich irony give the crime thriller a special touch. The British [sic] author captivates with his story, his writing style and his extremely convincing characters from the first to the last page, although the finale is a bit disappointing. "

- Book review by Bettina Schwoch on RP Online, July 7, 2005

“Australian writer Michael Robotham is super smart, a master at creating futile situations. His second book is tricky, romantic, pure thrill. "

- Tobias Gohlis on amnesia in Die Zeit, February 10, 2005
