Michaela Schober (born July 20, 1980 in Munich ) is a German singer ( soprano ), musical performer and vocal teacher.

Life

Michaela Schober grew up in Bavaria . Music played a big role in her childhood. She learned to play the piano , guitar , flute and accordion .

In 2001 she came to Lower Saxony to study singing , acting and dance at the German Musical Academy in Osnabrück . During this time she took part in both the state and national singing competitions. In 2004 she graduated as a qualified musical actress. Another study of vocal pedagogy at the Osnabrück Conservatory followed .

Even during her training, Michaela Schober worked as a musical performer in theater productions at the Tecklenburg open-air theater . A collaboration that lasted for several years and that gave her the opportunity, among others in the musicals Cinderella , Les Misérables , Mozart! or Beauty and the Beast perform. As Cross Swing "Gesang" she belonged from 2008 to 2010 to the ensemble of Tanz der Vampire at the Stage Metronom Theater Oberhausen and at the Stage Palladium Theater Stuttgart. After a further engagement at the Freilichtspiele Tecklenburg 2011 ( Jesus Christ Superstar ) she could be seen again from 2012 to 2013 at the Stage Palladium Theater Stuttgart, where Schober was part of Rebecca's ensemble . 2012 to 2014 received the role of Giuseppina Verdi in the world premiere of A Song of Freedom . Another world premiere followed in 2014 with Sophie's dream , in which she took on the leading female role of Elise. In 2016, with Friedelinds Wahnfried , she again had the opportunity to take part in a world premiere in the female lead (Friedelind Wagner). In the same year she played Irene Molloy in Hello, Dolly! In Schwäbisch Gmünd . . Michaela Schober is part of Luther's original ensemble ! . The pop oratorio premiered on Reformation Day 2015, followed by a nationwide tour on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017. In addition to the participating musical performers and a large orchestra, there is a specially composed choir of several hundred singers at each performance location. In 2018, in addition to other German cities, the Swiss premiere is on the program. Also in 2018, the singer designed a role in the world premiere of a musical from the musical pen of Mario Stork for the third time. In Never Again - The Children's Hospital of Rothenburgsort she has taken over the role of Frieda Esserlin. The premiere took place in the Thomas Church in Hamburg-Rothenburgsort .

Michaela Schober has been working closely with Sound of Music Concerts since 2010. At that time she took part in an audition in which they were looking for a guest singer for a musical singer's tour. In the following years she accompanied Jan Ammann's solo tours Stage Fright , Musical and Color Blind and thus became known to musical audiences as a singer in various other musical genres. For the concert promoter, she was also on stage in other concert formats and shows with musical colleagues.

In 2017 the singer presented her first solo program On the Road to Remembrance , with which she has since been a guest in several cities. A live recording was made in the Tresohr Studios in Oberhausen and was released on CD under the same name. This is her second solo CD, the 2013 studio album Musicals From The Heart was released . In addition, Michaela Schober can be heard on several cast albums and compilations.

Michaela Schober is married and has a daughter. She lives with her family in Oberhausen.

Voice training and vocal pedagogy

In addition to her stage engagements, Michaela Schober works as a singing teacher and voice trainer. Together with Mario Stork, the musical director of Sound of Music Concerts, she has been in charge of the Sound of Music Choir Gelsenkirchen since 2013, where she is the artistic director responsible for voice training, staging and choreography.
