Midnight Man is a 1986 pop song written by Sandra .

Creation and publication

The song was written by Michael Cretu , Hubert Kemmler (Hubert Kah) and Klaus Hirschburger and produced by Cretu together with Armand Volker . It is a mid-tempo synthpop song. The lyrics are about a voice from the radio broadcast at midnight, which attracts the protagonist and which she cannot escape.

The single was released on February 23, 1987 on Virgin Records as the fourth and final single from the album Mirrors . On the B-side is the song Mirror of Love . The 7 "version appeared on the compilation Ten on One (The Singles) in 1987. There is also a 5:26 minute maxi version. It appeared around 2009 on the Platinum Collection . But it is also on some other compilations Piece included.

Sandra appeared with the title on April 22, 1987 in episode 211 of the ZDF hit parade , as fifth place among the titles determined by betting slip. After interpreters had also been able to sing in English in the hit parade since episode 209, it was Sandra's first appearance on the show.
