Hi! Hi! Hi! is a pop song by Sandra from 1986.
Creation and publication
The song was written by Michael Cretu , Hubert Kemmler alias Hubert Kah and Klaus Hirschburger , the latter member of Hubert Kah's band, and produced by Cretu together with Armand Volker . It is an up-tempo synth pop song. The lyrics are about the search for love that is "incurable", "incurable". The other person is asked to give a sign.
The single was released on September 15, 1986 at Virgin Records in advance as the second single from the album Mirrors . On the B-side is the song You'll Be Mine . There is also a 6:12 minute maxi version. It appeared on the compilation Maxi Power - NY Disco Giants in 1986 and on the Platinum Collection in 2009 .
On December 6, 1986, Sandra performed the song at Peter's Pop Show in front of an international audience. One made number five, the robot from number five lives , "dance" in front of the stage.
Music video
The music video was directed by Rudi Dolezal and Hannes Rossacher alias DoRo . It shows the singer in an antique furnished villa and at a live concert with her band.
Chart placements
The single reached high chart positions in European countries, including number seven in Germany , number twelve in Austria and number 20 in Switzerland . The song came in at number 13 in France and at number 47 in the Netherlands. The song came in at number twelve in Media Control's German airplay charts .
