Into a Secret Land is the third studio album by the German - French pop singer Sandra . It was released by Virgin on October 24, 1988 .
Creation and publication
With Ten on One (The Singles) , Sandra's best-of album was released in 1987. At the beginning of 1988 she married Michael Cretu , the producer of her albums, and moved with him and the whole band to the Spanish island of Ibiza , where they set up a recording studio. Hubert Kemmler alias Hubert Kah wrote down all the pieces on the album, which was finally released on October 24, 1988. Cretu was also involved in most of the songs, as well as the musicians of Kahs Band, Markus Löhr and Klaus Hirschburger . Sandra's keyboardist Frank Peterson , Uwe Gronau and Michael Höing from Fabrique , whose title Trenchcoat Man served as the basis for Secret Land , Mats Björklund and Susanne Müller-Pi also co-wrote individual songs.
The single Heaven Can Wait was released in May 1988 . It reached number twelve in Germany and sixth in France. Three more singles hit the charts, La vista de luna was released as a promo single in Spain in 1989 .

The album reached number 14 in Germany, number 13 in Austria and number ninth in Switzerland , also number 18 in Norway and number 22 in Sweden .
