Stop for a Minute is a pop song by Sandra from 1987.
Creation and publication
The song was written by Klaus Hirschburger (text) and Michael Cretu (music) and produced by Cretu. Stop for a Minute is a mid-tempo synthpop song. In the lyrics, the protagonist asks the partner in a relationship to pause for a moment and check his feelings, since their own feelings are real to him.
The single was released in January 1988 on Virgin Records as the second single from the compilation album Ten on One (The Singles) . On the B-side is the song Two Lovers Tonight . There is also a 6:19 minute maxi version, which is supplemented by the 7 ″ version on the maxi single. Stop for a Minute appeared on several other compilations and best-of albums, such as Ronny's Pop Show '88 or 2009 on The Platinum Collection .
The song was performed by Sandra in Tatort: Salü Palu in a club. Sandra also appeared with the title on March 23, 1988 in the ZDF hit parade as number three of the titles determined at that time using a ticket procedure.
Music video
The music video was directed by Rudi Dolezal and Hannes Rossacher alias DoRo . The video uses material from Sandra's appearance at the crime scene .

The single reached the top 10 in Germany and 14th in Switzerland . The single was placed in the German charts from February 8 to April 18, 1988.
