The Wheel of Time is the seventh studio album by the German - French pop singer Sandra . It was released on May 17, 2002 on Virgin Records .
Creation and publication
The Wheel of Time , Sandra's comeback after a seven-year hiatus, was produced by her husband Michael Cretu and Jens Gad like its flopped predecessor Fading Shades . Several cover songs were recorded, including Freelove by Depeche Mode and Motivation by Inker & Hamilton . Such a Shame of TalkTalk was also released as a single. With Peter Ries (partly alias Cassandra) and Wolfgang Filz , bassist and drummer from Sandra's original band were also involved in several pieces .

reception
Reviews
Laut.de spoke of a "relaxed comeback of the former German pop queen". However, Cretu relies on modern "chill trance sounds". Forgive Me is an "extremely danceable freestyle number, something you have probably never heard from Sandra." The cover Freelove by Depeche Mode, however, was "completely unsuccessful." The site awarded three out of five stars.
