Mihoko Fujimura

Mihoko Fujimura , Japanese 藤村実穂子 , Fujimura Mihoko (born 1966 in Gifu Prefecture ) is a Japanese opera singer ( dramatic soprano / mezzo-soprano ).

Life

Mihoko Fujimura was born in Japan and studied at the National University for Fine Arts and Music Tokyo Tōkyō Geijutsu Daigaku and at the University of Music and Theater Munich . She became internationally known through her appearances at the Munich Opera Festival in 2002 and at the Bayreuth Festival . She is a permanent guest at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden , Teatro alla Scala , the Bavarian State Opera , Vienna State Opera , the Théâtre du Châtelet , Teatro Real Madrid, the Deutsche Oper Berlin , the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino , Lucerne Festival and Festival d'Aix-en -Provence .
