Michael Barrowman

Michael "Mike" Ray Barrowman (born December 4, 1968 in Costa Mesa ) is a former American swimmer .

At the Olympic Games in 1988 he finished fourth in the 200-meter chest . Four years later he was able to celebrate the Olympic victory over this route at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona . At the 1991 World Championships , he also won the 200-meter breaststroke title. Between 1989 and 1992 he swam a total of six world records on his parade route . In 1989 and 1990 he was elected World Swimmer of the Year .

In 1997 he was inducted into the hall of fame of international swimming . He lives as a trainer in the Cayman Islands .
